Memories of years gone by. . .

Left to right - top row:

  • Ah Leon inscribing the phrase "Dancing Clay" on a pot by Matt Long (1991)
(There are two images for your consideration on the page you'll go to, if you click on either one of the pictures.)
  • Brian Kelly working two sections together, with Beverly Cavagnaro watching.
  • Big pots in kiln.

Second row:

  • Norman and Beverly holding top of "Chef" above lower section so he can be seen more or less as he will be finished.
  • Two sections in working position.
  • Instructor Carolyn Broadwell behind "Chef" in progress.
  • (The chef eventually was glazed and fired with a white glaze, and wore an apron. He met an unfortunate end when a pet dog knocked him down!)

This is a group of students on a field trip to the DiRosa Preserve in the summer of 1999. They are standing in front of a sculpture by Scott Parady, who is now an instructor at the college. (For a larger view, click on the image.)
Summer of 2001!

Students undertake a major project. To find out what they are doing in the picture to the left, click on the picture... (The project was still under construction when these pictures were put on the web. It is still unfinished...but not bad the way it is.)

As I find more pictures, they will get added. . . . .
