Puppies - The pups have all found homes. Thanks for you interest.
The momma dog
- Tiller -
Tiller is most likely a Jack Russell Terrier. This picture was taken when the puppies were about 2 weeks old. She is a very sweet dog. She loves to be pet, likes to sit in laps, and gets very excited when I come home. She seems to be good with other dogs. She gets a little exciteable around cats, but she does calm down when she's been around them for a while. She is about 1.5 or 2 years old. She weighs about 15 lbs post pregnancy.
Her Pups
The pups were born June 6th. So as of July 18th, they are 6 weeks old. They are mostly weened, and could go to new homes now. There are 4 females, one male.
I have no idea who the sire of these puppies is. What I do know is: 4 of the puppies have smooth hair, one has terrier wire hair. The male pup is the biggest. I suspect they will be between 20 and 25 lbs when fully grown. That is a little bigger than the momma dog, but not much.
Here are select pictures of their first month of life, grouped by age.
4 weeks old - At this age their personalities really began to be apparent. They started to be a lot more vocal about what they wanted in their day to day existence. They started eating solid food (canned) and would pick up a pieces of kibble or two and chew on them.
2 Weeks old - They start to look less like bratwurst, more like puppies. Their coloring becomes clearer. They were just starting to raise up on their front legs, back legs didn't do much yet. These pictures were taken the day before the opened their eyes.
Newborn Pictures - These pictures were taken within minutes of their birth, so in some cases, Tiller hasn't finished cleaning them up. When clean, they are all white with black or dark brown spots on their ears, tails and lower backs. The first four born are females, the fifth is a male. I only have pictures of the first four born on this page.
