Letter from Ah Leon

How are you all doing? I want share my latest experience with you.. I just came home from Korea, where I was invited to be a guest artist at the international workshop currently taking place as part of the "Korean World Ceramic Exposition." I also have two pieces in an invitational exhibit at the museum there, entitled "Great Achievements in Contemporary Ceramic Arts." They invited 38 artists to participate in the show. There was another competitive exhibit showing at the same time, with a $30,000 first prize. A Nigerian artist won the prize.

The invitational exhibit was so ambitious! You wouldn't believe the amount of money the Korean government invested in creating this event, all the great artists they invited to show work, the exhibit space and the displays. They showed the highest quality of work and spirit in contemporary ceramics. It was truly the best show I have ever seen.
