Torbjørn Kvasbø

Form 1997

The photo on the left, above, is taken from a card set from the museum adjacent to the Stave Church in Ringebu, a town near Torbjørn's home.

The next page has several pictures of his work.
(All photos by Morten Løberg.)

On the right above is a drawing of an anagama kiln from an old address label of Torbjørn Kvasbø's. He built his anagama kiln in Venebygd, Norway in about 1985.(For his resume in Norwegian, go to this page.)

Napa Valley College has been fortunate to have had Torbjørn as a guest several times; he taught summer school in 1988, there have been several shorter visits which included demonstrations and firings, and he was one of two guests artists for Clay and Wine, 1995. (The other guest was John Neely.)

Soon there will be another page with photos of his kiln
under construction in Norway.
