Jason Walker

Jason Walker received his BFA in Ceramics from Utah State University in 1997. That year he received a fellowship from NCECA (the National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts), and utilized it for two months of study in Japan. In 1999 he graduated from Pennsylvania State University with his MFA. From the fall of 1999 to June of 2001, he was an instructional assistant in the ceramics program and an instructor at Napa Valley College. In August, 2001, he is going to the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts for a one year residency program.

Note: Just in case you are interested, the above photo was taken by Ah Leon with a digital camera in the NVC ceramics studio. The piece was sitting on a badly marked up black formica work table. Ah Leon then quickly demonstrated how to "fix" it, or place it on a "backdrop" with Photoshop. If you look closely you can see that this has been done, but I've been practicing, and it will be a long time before I can do this well! CB
